45. It is a conspiracy. They did this to me in New York.

It was during the Presidential race and we were asked about Veteran's rights, I believe it was about setting up a special comission to make it easier for Veteran's to recieve all their services. I wanted to agree. But the wording was confusing. I stood there for 20 minute and reread the thing about 7 times before I voted for it (or I think I did). Ultimately I found out I voted correctly when I spoke to one of my friends. However, the wording was out of this world. My sister just gave up and didn't vote for or against in the end because she was worried about the wording. I then I got into a fight with one of the clerks who was rushing me to finish my vote in lieu of others on line (one other person) mind you. So I told her, you're not about to rush me and to back off.

48. It is in New England but not as progressive as CT, Mass, or Vermont.

Remember, it is very, very rural and woodsy and has two Repub Senators (though they are moderates). Last year in CT, we rejected the ability to amend our constitution (to vote on gay marriage). Mass still has gay marriage. But Maine and I would say NH have never been as liberal.
